Library FAQs

1. Go to SUSS library's Databases A-Z page at https://libguides.suss.edu.sg/az.php?q=vitalsource&p=1

2. Select “VitalSource”.

3. If you encounter the following login screen,

Select “Student, Associate or Faculty/ Staff”.

Username: SUSS Username (Leave out @suss.edu.sg)   

Password: SUSS password (same as Canvas, MyMail)

4. Click “I Agree” for the first time use if you are agreeable to the Terms of Use once you are at the landing page of VitalSource Explore. Click “Continue”.

5. Click “Explore” to access the eBook titles subscribed by SUSS Library.

6. Move your mouse over the eBook title and click “Borrow”.

7. You should see the number of available copies for loan on the right-hand side of the screen. Click “Borrow”.

8. Move your mouse over the eBook title, click "Open Book" then Click “Continue Reading” to read the eBook online.

9. The loan duration of the eBook is 2 hours. After reading, please return the eBook before you exit VitalSource Explore.

10. To return the eBook, click the icon at the top left-hand corner “Back to Library”.

11. Click “Return” to return the eBook.

12. You should see a message pop up at the top right-hand corner of the screen which confirms that the eBook has been returned.

13. To exit, you need to just close the application. Please be reminded to return the eBook first.

14. If you do not return the eBook, the eBook will auto-expire after the 2-hour duration. If all copies are on loan, please try again later.
