Can Faculty and Associates request for M18 and R21 audio-visual resources from SUSS Library?

Answer

Faculty and Associates may request to screen a restricted resource (e.g. M18 or R21) for use in the classroom if the resource has been identified as a course requirement for the programme.

The screening of the restricted work must be limited to the students enrolled in the course.

Please submit the Request Form to Access Library's Audio-Visual Resources rated M18 and R21 form (Faculty and Associates) at least 5 working days in advance.

The following additional conditions also apply to the screening of the resource via online platforms (e.g. Zoom) to ensure that there is no unauthorised copying or communication in violation of the Copyright Act 2021:

During the screening of the resource, all downloading and recording functions offered/available on the online platforms must be deactivated.

All students are to be reminded before screening of the resource that no recording of the resource is permitted for reasons of copyright.

Please refer to the FAQs on screening of AV resources covered by MPLC and not covered by MPLC for details.
