How do I apply for ISBN for a SUSS publication?

Answer

The National Library serves as the ISN National Agency for Singapore and issues Singapore ISBNs and ISSNs to materials published or produced in Singapore, by Singapore publishers.

SUSS Library can assist with ISBN applications for SUSS-affiliated publications. Please fill this form to kick start the application.

Publications which are eligible for ISBN include both print and electronic materials which are made available to the public. Separate ISBNs/ISSNs are required for the same title publication that is published in different formats.

Please refer to the NLB FAQs on ISBN for details.

Under the National Library Board Act, publishers must deposit two physical copies or one electronic copy (if applicable) of any publication made available for sale or public distribution in Singapore within four weeks of publication.

Upon publication, please send the 2 copies of physical publication to the SUSS Library or email the electronic publication to libadmin@suss.edu.sg (Subject: Legal Deposit for ISBN xxxxxxxxxxxxx).
