What does it mean when an article or an eBook is open access?

Digital content such as electronic journal articles or books that are open access can be read, downloaded and printed.
To view the open access journals and books, please select “Open Access” under the option “Availability” and select “Apply filters”.
When the filter is applied, it will show up as such:
